Training and Resources United to Stop Trafficking

Young people experiencing homelessness are a primary target of exploiters. Pimps and other traffickers wait outside foster care group homes, youth homeless shelters and bus stations to lure in vulnerable youth with false promises of love and money.

In “Sexual Exploitation of Homeless Youth and the Increased Vulnerabilities During the COVID-19 Crisis,” Jayne Bigelsen, Director of Anti-Human Trafficking Initiatives at Covenant House, will discuss the tragic pipeline from homelessness to commercial sexual exploitation and what we can do to prevent it. She will also discuss how the global pandemic of COVID-19 is affecting young people experiencing homelessness across the Americas.

Please join World Without Exploitation on Thursday, July 16 to learn about the dynamics of this issue and what actions we can take to prevent exploitation of vulnerable youth made even more vulnerable during the pandemic.
