Training and Resources United to Stop Trafficking

he Missing & Murdered Diné Relatives task force is happy to announce an online community forum entitled “Not Invisible: Understanding Human Trafficking on the Navajo Nation” scheduled for Friday, January 22, 2021 from 4pm-6pm.

January is the official month recognizing human trafficking awareness. The Navajo Nation has been engaged in critical work since 2016 to address human trafficking throughout Navajo land. We also acknowledge that human trafficking intersects with the missing and murdered crisis on the Navajo Nation and we would like to illustrate those connections to create awareness and understanding in our communities.

This forum will include a presentation that illustrates what human trafficking looks like on the Navajo Nation, hold two breakout sessions to create meaningful dialogue around jurisdiction issues and healing from trauma stemming from human trafficking, and a Q&A session for folks to discuss outcomes from the breakout sessions. There will be a video at the closing of the forum–more details to come! We hope to see you at our online community forum!
